    Agree in writing on tasks, timing, rates, payment method and cancellation before work starts.

  • Interview first

    Use on-site messaging and a video call before meeting in person.

  • Check references

    Ask for references and follow up with them.

  • Protect sensitive information

    Don't share passwords, financial details, or ID numbers unless truly necessary.

  • Meet thoughtfully

    For first in-person meetings, choose public places and tell someone where you'll be.

  • Use caution with unfamiliar users

    Be wary of pressure, urgency, overpayment, or requests to move off-platform quickly.

  • Report and block

    Use Report or Block on any profile or conversation that concerns you.

Independent background checks

Assist 4 Today does not run background checks. If you'd like extra peace of mind, either party can order a personal criminal background check from an outside provider such as Checkr and choose to share the results with the other person. Bookers may ask for a recent report, and assistants may offer one, before agreeing to work together.
